Morningstar's Mission

 

 

At Morningstar United Methodist Church, we believe that our mission is to "Gather, Grow, and Go in Christ's Name." 

 

In Matthew’s Gospel, the Pharisees asked Jesus, which of the commandments was the greatest.  He told them, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the greatest and first commandment.  And a second is like it: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”  Jesus said that all of the Law was summed up in this SIMPLE statement. 

 

As a church, we try to reflect the simplicity of the Great Commandment in our Mission to:
GATHER, GROW and GO in Christ’s Name.
It is our process and our purpose.

 

We challenge every person join in our Mission. And it is a simple thing to do!

 

Step One: Gather.
Worship with us on Sunday Morning in either of our Worship Services.

Step Two: Grow OR Go?
Get involved in a Small Group OR Serve God

Step Three: Grow AND Go!
Get involved in  a Small Group AND Serve God

We want EVERY person involved in our simple Mission to Gather, Grow, and Go in Christ’s name. It’s simple, but simple is not always EASY.  The church is here to help you along the way.  We want to assist  you in finding your place in the life and ministry of the church and help you to grow in your relationship with Christ!  If you need help finding a small group or finding a place to serve, just call the church office, contact our pastor, or any of our church staff.
